COACHING legend Kevin Sheedy has revealed he has previously rejected offers from Richmond to return to the club.

The Tigers have plans to revamp their football department, including introducing another senior football operations figure to create a structure similar to St Kilda’s.

“I have been approached by certain people (at Richmond) for a couple of years,” Sheedy told Fox Sports News’ AFL Tonight.

“But in the end at the moment, I’m at Essendon working on the monster country game next year. That’s my major project.”

While not interested in returning to Punt Road, Sheedy said the Tigers did need to take action given their sustained lack of success.

“They should do something,” he said.

“Thirty-five years without premiership is a long time and I think they need some adjustment.”

This is why i don't want Bryan Wood on the board, he is a sheedy man and by extension Essendon. Don't really like the idea of our board being infiltrated by an Essendon stooge.

Need less Port, Essendon & Carlton influence and more Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney & GWS influence... :shh

Kevin "Bloody" Sheedy.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
