What does that prove? That Geelong fans, having seen their club win three flags and a multitude of finals in the last ten years, are used to high standards and want to maintain them?

You really think Chris Scott was the architect of the flag in 2011?  :lol
He subsequently led to 10th before getting the best player in the competition and very nearly went out in straight sets in the finals.
Cats have a soft underbelly and a rigid game plan.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I'm confused HRT,  Are you trying to justify Hardwick as a good coach compared to Scott? You think players could improve under Halfsteps game plan? Do you think Geelong would have been more successful if coached by Dumma?
The club that keeps giving.

You really think Geelong losing a prelim to Sydney justifies things or somehow puts our ineptness in context? Subsequently came 10th  eh? Like 5 seasons after he took over? Scott's missed one final series in 6 seasons....yeah he nearly went out in straight sets but didn't ....but hey it was only against the triple defending premiers & the minor premiers...not North or the 9th placed team only in the finals by default....how's Halfstep going with the 5 of best  players the clubs' had in 30 years on his list? You know, his "best list ever"? If only our underbelly was a soft as Geelong's.....so soft they can give us a 6 goal start at 3/4 time and still win ...btw has Halfstep beaten Scott in a competitive match yet?

Scott hasn't beaten Hardwick.... Richmond haven't beaten Geelong it's the teams out their playing, not the coaches.

And what I'm getting is all teams supporters are critical of their coaches when performing poorly, and always expect the coach to be able to tactically guide the team out of every loss.

Hardwick is no tactical mastermind nor is he a great coach, but he cant be all to blame.

But yes that doesn't suit your agenda

I find it stunning that a guy who admits Hardwick isn't a tactical mastermind and isn't a great coach can be defended against anything in his position. Wow. Absolute madness.

What agenda is that? Wanting a successful club & pointing out facts as to why it currently isn't? What's your agenda?

And then this.......

If you look back through my posts I am no hardwick supporter, however to say poo like "he cannot coach" is garbage.  just because he isn't good enough to take us furthur doesn't mean he "cannot coach"

So he 'Can' coach. But he can't coach.  :huh
