A similar question was on the RFC Members Survey emailed last week.

While I answered "down", I added in the text box that many of the issues/problems we saw in 2016, were evident in previous years (2012-15) but not acted upon by the powers that be when they needed to. If these issues were isolated to 2016 then you would give the current admin and footy dept. 2017 to turn things around. However, their repeated failures to not only be proactive in addressing issues when they arise but not being able to spot these issues in the first place until it's too late, is why you can't have any confidence in them making the right decisions and fixing anything.

It's why I answered "0" (poor) to all questions in the RFC Members Survey relating to the Board, admin, coaching and recruiting.

I also answered "0" (poor) to how the Club communicated with members and supporters in 2016. Absolutely pathetic! I didn't hold back either explaining why in the text box  ;).

l delete the members surveys. seriously if they need to have a survey to ask supporters how to better the club they should be working at Safeway or Subway  :snidegrin

I could just about quote everyones posts here and add my own bit...

Ive never felt so dissapointed in all my time following the Tigers as I do now.

There are times where I jest  :shh but now is not one.

In 2010 I had genuine belief that we would strip the beast apart and rebuild it, no guarantees that we would be holding a cup five years later but at least we would right all the wrongs of the last 30 years. Here I am now 7 seasons later and were only marginally better off than where we were in 2010. Sure we have Jack, Rance and Dusty but we continue to fail to recuit and develop players for our needs. The other players on our list would probably flourish at another club but stall at ours.

The most telling thing for me with Damien at the helm is this, even in our best circa 2013 we came to a roadblock and fell apart. " The Egg" Players clearly lack self belief, that is something that can be encouraged via a mentor/ coach like a Beveridge etc.

The list profile in my view are confidence based emotional players, they fire up and play well when our backs are against the wall but become complacent as soon as its back to process driven coaching. Damien IMV had them on the right track for a few years but I believe lost them. in fact I dont think we ever recovered from that Carlton Elim loss.

Dont have time to go into too much detail now but you all know, I love the club, I put what I can into it,  memberships keep ticking over year after year etc and they just fail us year after year.

I just want an honest club that will make the calls it needs to, and so many of us can see that from here

I'll say this.

If Damien Hardwick coaches Richmond a to a flag it would be the biggest disaster OER has ever faced.

I'm sure the masterminds on here will somehow take credit for turning it around.

Keep saying it and you're bound to be right. Like the ones saying Hawks were heading downwards for the past 3 years :lol

Basically the resigning of Ivan Maric says it all.

Compare that to whats happening at Hawthorn.

Maric looks a lot better with the nankervis signing

He's not a terrible 3rd / 4th string option
Then he grabbed two chopsticks and stuck them in his mouth , pretending to be a walrus

Has the game plan changed?

If it's still 2005 football - bottom 6.

if 2017 football - in the mix.

Why?

Same coach, same admin , same recycled duds.

Got rid of a bloke who kicks 30+ and a two time b and f.

Again, why?

Well for starters Vickery didn't have his own cheer squad - especially on OER .

Lids time is up . Time for him to build his nest egg. Hes given 11 years great service but hes been ravaged by injury lately and played on one leg this year.

Dimma will either succeed or be sacked in 2017 . Its win win .
