It's Moneyblair's time to "shine" now - DFA targets 2016

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-10-20/players-in-limbo-who-is-yet-to-sign-on-or-find-a-new-home

Barlow & Blair would add value IMO though the latter's not really a need.....Richards/Henderson/O'Shea/Litherland would fill a desperate need and are still young...Green can play on his day  but can also spud it up- not really a need either.....

Could do worse than Petrie for a year to cover our woeful KPF stocks....

Dal Santo (not mentioned in the article) would at least add desperately needed foot skills for a year...

Drawing a blank on Dylan Buckley for some reason....wasn't he rated as a future star by Carlton fans at one point....? Then again, they rate all their kids as future stars at first...

All these blokes are better than A.Moore at least..hell they're all better than Hunt and Townsend too....

Stay away from - Everitts, Towers, Lonergan , Clarke & Clark.....

Barlow, Richards main list and one of Litherland/Brown /Henderson/O' Shea rookie list for me.......

Barlow is a must IMO.
And I like the look of Litherland from Hawthorn as he has elite pace and is a very good size coming off HB.
Houli v Litherland- I know who I would rather.

Get it done Tigers.

Agree i wanted us to offer the hawks something for him last yr. Michael Barlow well i am surprised we just didnt give them pick 10000 to get him over the line.Personally i would rather Barlow as a player than Caddy based on consistent performance at afl level. The other one we should have taken a punt on was stewart from gws not sure why he went so cheap but he sure has shown some promise at times.

Its difficult to see how we can fit a free agent into the list now with the addition of three players.

From what I have read there are only  Batchelor, Butler,  Lambert and A.Moore left as unsigned. We have to take at lest three picks in the draft and probably upgrade Short from a rookie.

So far only 6 off our list and 3 added. Will be interesting to see what they do.

So our picks are
27, 56, 82, 100, 118

Should be ok if we target 6 foot 3 inch fast running tough types, at least 85kgs with good foot skills and good footy brains

This from Dawes manager

This could be a good ‘moneyball’ opportunity (for a club light on experienced forwards wanting a back-up)

Come on down Blair you dud Dawes is waiting for u

I can't believe it but agree with Claw re:- Barlow. Age profile no issue given Lids and is another midfield beast for us
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Not sure you can get Richards as a DFA. I could be way off the mark but I think if a club offers you a contract and you reject it, you have to go through the draft?

Another year, another dozen or so players moving clubs and you wonder if we even bothered to 'politely inquire about their services' as they put it.

Barlow would have been a good pickup if his shoulder is sorted.

With guys like Stewart you have to hope we spoke to him and he said FO otherwise due diligence hasn't been done at all.
