I'm not really sure how we'll fare next year.
We appear to be locked and loaded for mid table, though would be surprised if we either made 8-10 or bombed in bottom 4 having said that beating the Cheats is a non negotiable and our streak against Brisbane is surely going to end soon.
I'd also suggest it would be nice to beat Melbourne considering we haven't beaten them since 2013 which is just disgusting

Win the first 4 then lose the tribute match against melbourne, because that's just what we do!

Seriously the way we played last year we might snag 2'maybe, hoping the penny has dropped on some of these stuffwits and they change things up a bit.

You'd think a midfield with Cotchin, Martin, Miles, Prestia, Caddy and McIntosh, Menedue and Vlas supporting would be able to win enough ball to be competitive. I'd love a Barlow as well but think we lack genuine pace. Unless Nankervis is a revelation, we also lack quality in the ruck.
I'm not totally off a backline of Rance, Astbury, Grimes being flanked by a fully fit Yarren and Houli but we need someone who can shutdown opposition small forwards.
The forward line looks weak unless Griff can somehow confound his trend of tiny, incremental improvements each year and finally breakthrough.
So, it looks like a 7-14 ladder position for us next year which means we will probably win 2 or 3 of our first 5.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

1 win 4 losses or
2 win 3 losses

We will beat Brisbane, that's a dead cert, the only other side we will come close to beating in that lot is Carlton and i harbor deep concerns about that too.

Is the club still relying on the competition to have gone as backwards as them?

The competition HAS gone backwards in the past 5 years

So they were saying Footscray would have to change or Hawthorn & Richmond will?

If the polls anything to go by, us forum members are mostly either very confused or very clueless.

With a full team fit and firing (including a fit Yarran which is unlikely) I would say we could win 3 of those. West Coast and Melbourne being the two losses. We're a chance against them both too.

Carlton - more changes in their squad than you see at a chameleon party.

Collingwood - missing a heap of KPPs and most of their back half.

Brisbane - a bunch of kids in rebuild mode and we always seem to beat them.

OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.
