Sounds like your way more inspired than me.

It's yours.

Just a heads up - I have asked the Returning Office to forward a copy of my Action Plan/Prospectus to all member. Apologies to those who have already voted or detest an avalanche of emails, or have no interest in the material.

Simon may also seek an access pathway to members so that all candidates have the ability to reach members via an RFC channel.

Cheers

To what level/extent do you think a board should be involved in on field matters?

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Week to week, not. Year to year yes, as part of the reviewing, approving the football strategy.

There would need to be a few key touch points, but the FD would need to report monthly to the Board on execution of strategies and plans.

It would be like the real estate agents and the bank telling the carpenters how to build the house

and what a fine job the carpenters are doing at present.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

So you get better carpenters, that is what has happened, I think you guys want the builder, he is still under contract.

Kerry Ryan is a lifelong Richmond supporter, passionate about delivering members the ultimate on-field success. As a first-term Board member, Kerry is seeking re-election for another term as a Richmond director.

Like all members, Kerry felt the disappointment of the Club’s on-field performance last season. She – and the entire Board – recognised change was needed and that change has subsequently been made.

Kerry played an important role as part of the Board, working with management, to oversee and implement strategic change, designed to improve all aspects of the Club's football operations. This included the appointment of highly-experienced football manager Neil Balme, the restructuring of the Football Department and the recruitment of new assistant coaches among other changes.

So Peter Casey,  are you someone that will see through the above smoke screen and actually speak up and ask the hard hitting questions of this board.
i.e. as is stated in Kerry's campaign line, "Like all members, Kerry felt the disappointment of the Club’s on-field performance last season. She – and the entire Board – recognised change was needed and that change has subsequently been made.'

I direct you to the part where it states, "felt the disappointment of the Club’s on-field performance last season. She – and the entire Board – recognised change was needed"
Now, i ask this, the board actually needed the wake up call of the past season to wake up? Like really? They thought everything was hunky dory and only because of this year, they thought change needed to be made?
And these people suggest they are the can do people to take us forward?  People that react instead of pro act?   They hired Neli Balme on the back of a lucky break and moved a few others around and got rid of a couple of replacable cheap resources. The rest are still there is some kind of capacity, especially the coach who the people that saw change needed to be made, couldnt change because they thought everything was sweet and rosy when they handed him the 2 year extension.  :banghead

We need the carpenters so we can be on top of the world....
