He seemed to get better as the All-Stars game went along. Interesting to see how he goes in the NAB Cup which presumably we'll treat a bit more seriously as a team with most of our stars back playing in it.

I am hoping he will get as much opportunity as Ellis last year, I think you can see how Ellis has flourished, these are the guys we need to get game time into. Still he has to be good enough, so NAB Cup will show how he is progressing. At the same time you would hate any player to have a shocker in the NAB Cup and be consigned to VFL for the year.
As always for new recruits it's fingers crossed and trust our selectors who have done a great job the last 2 years.

The thing that differs between Ellis and Vlastuin is their endurance.  Ellis already had near-elite level endurance before he was drafted, whereas it's Vlastuin's weakness.  I reckon we might see Nick play as the substitute.  If he ends up starting, I'd say he's a very high chance to be the one subbed off in the 3rd quarter or so.

You forgot that one sits on the outside of packs all game and the other one goes in there and rips it out of blokes hands.

Never seen a player not go into a pack situation at least once per game. With the exception being the Morton brothers Cale and Mitch.

Twitter says that Pettard is playing well in the backline.
And you may not think I care for you

RFCO told us there wasn't going to be one when we asked him but apparently the Club didn't tell him about it until 10 mins before it started today.

Petterd playing in the backline. Edit: beat me to it wayne  :cheers.

From RFCO on twitter:
"Ricky Petterd looking the goods at the intra-club this morning, born again defender?"

"definitely back. apparently all Australia junior defender"

Isn't it great to see them on Punt Road oval, not Vic Park or Whitten Oval.  :clapping
