Just got back from a overcast and damp under foot Punt Rd. Quite a good sized crowd watching too.
Only the squad for Sunday training today. As mentioned in the other thread Meyer trained with them so he must have been added to the squad. The only concern, outside all our known injuries, is Knobel. Knobs spent most of the session on the boundary just handballing back and forth with a trainer. He only joined in for the goalkicking practice at the end. Everyone else looked fine. Edwards and Petersen were watching in casuals from the race.
Not too much to say as the session was only a light one and only went for 45 minutes. Mostly the standard handballing, kicking and goalkicking drills. The standard wasn't too great to be honest so I hope we play better then we trained although it did pick up towards end of training. The notable exceptions were Tambo, Lids and Sugar amongst a couple of others who looked switched on and ready to go.
The highlight of training today was Lids was practising his torps from 70m out and every single one of them sailing clear through the middle
. I wouldn't mind seeing him do that during a game. It would just lift the side and crowd
.
No tactical tricks for Sunday going by today. Richo and Schulz to be a two pronged attack. Meyer played forward as well in the rebounding drills.
