Training today was from a cold and very wet Punt Rd oval. Normally Wednesday training goes for an hour and a half but given the weather it was cut down to about 30 minutes and no footys were involved. Just running. No point practicing in the wet and someone doing a hammy when we're playing at the Dome on Saturday Night. Better off training indoors.

All they did was a few straight runs from one goal to the other and then a couple of laps around the boundary. It was during this that Petts struggled to keep up and was trailing badly off the back of the group in last place. He could do no more than a jog. Petts went over to the trainer and they walked off into the rooms. They way he was moving he looks in doubt this week. All depends if he trains Friday.

As for who was there. Most of the senior players were absent. Simmo only did some ruckwork practice. Lids, Raines, Polak, Edwards, Riewoldt, Petts (before injured), Kingsley, Tuck, Jacko, Peterson, Hyde, Hughes, White, Casserly, Connors, Moore, Foley, Howat, Graham and King trained. As they were heading into the rooms after training, Whitey and Kingy entertained the rest of the group body-sliding in the mud  ;D.

JON and Connors then came out for some kick to kick after the others had finished.

thank you. Connors is a bit of show pony. Like his aggressive nature. Jon will be good in time. Petts is no real concern even if he is out.  ;)

It's not a hammy as he kept jogging and completed the boundary run. If it is general soreness then they probably would chuck him in an ice bath  :-X.

Yeah, and sometimes their brains made of straw can be proven superior on the odd occasion.  :)
And I do mean odd.

ps Thanks for braving the elements to keep us informed, mt.  :cheers

Hows Clingan coming along. Killed em in the finals last year. A Dean Laidley type they believe. Good contested mark for his height.

I'll delete this later, MT, so that your training report thread (the best in the business) is not overrun by vermin, sorry, I meant extraneous material.
My fault Gordon, I posted a link to OER on Bigfooty lol  :rollin
