Training today was at a overcast Punt Rd. The session went for about an hour. School holidays meant there were heaps of kids there. Probably a crowd of around 150 all up. Richo and Browny stayed 10 minutes stuck in the race after training signing autographs. Poor buggers lol.

I didn't notice any rehab group today. Connors mainly and Clingan did some training on their own. Simmo did half the session. None of the full length of the ground rebounding drills; just the shorter handball and foot-passing ones.

Newy, Rainesy, Simmo, Polak, Browny, Jack, Edwards, Joel, Richo, Petts, Sugar, Tuck, Meyer, Jacko, Sarge, Patto, JON, Tambo, Hyde, Tivs, Harts, Thursty, McGuane, Moore, Foley, Howat and Kingy trained. So the squad of 25 plus JON and Meyer.

Nothing much to report training wise. Just the standard drills.

David King was interviewed after training but it was hard to hear much of it from the other side of the fence and what I did hear wasn't anything new anyway.

the worst thing abot being the worst run club in the afl, and having the worst on field record for the last 25 years is the fact that I have lost interst in this shambles, I would usually look to go to training, but to be honest, at the moment, I could spend my time better elsewhere

What a fricking joke of a club we are!

They were deciding b/w Punt Rd and Gosch's Paddock up until the last moment but eventually by 2.50pm decided on Gosch's paddock. A sunny day but cold. The Session went for about an hour and a half.

Quite a big squad. Lids, Cogs and Collins were in rehab. All did some ball work and running. Knobs was around the place too. Lids had a blue plaster bandage around the base of his thumb. The only absentees were Polo and Razor. I can't remember seeing Kingsley but I was chatting away with a couple of people during the session so I may have missed him out there. Most of the boys were wearing different numbers to what they usually wear too.

The squad did a number of different drills today. While McRae went through some specific things such as weaving with our younger mids - Tambo, Edwards, Meyer, Jacko, JON, Harts, White, Howat IIRC - on one wing and Tuck and a couple of others on the oppositie wing, the rest of the squad worked in their inside 50 passing from a huddle defensive side of the centre.

Next up were a few handball drills. The first repeatingly getting your arms up and free as you got tackled and then dishing off. They then redid it with picking the ball off the ground then dishing off while being tackled. They then spread out into two groups either side of the square and ran lines of 3 on 1 handball with emphasis on a give and go handball. They spreaded out between goallines next to add a kick on the chain of handballs through the centre. Skill level so far was pretty clean IMO although it should be under no physical pressure.

The squad then finished off with a mini scratch match of sorts. Best thing I could say of this is we trained the way we played   :-\.

I am interested to know when the last time you saw Ray Hall at training?

I know its forgone that he will be given the flick, but there is obviously more to the story with this one.

Jack is right. Razor has a chronic hip problem. He's gone but he hasn't retired so we can put him on the long-term injury list and keep Kingy from going back onto the rookie list. Remember Peterson is now off the long-term injury list and playing. Our long-term injury list and corresponding rookie promotions are Cogs -> Howat, Hall  -> Kingy, Polo -> Graham.
