No probs disagreeing Magic. I would say nearly everyone here would agree with what you've said about Danny and the reasons why he should be given the flick.

Sometimes you just have to cut your loses and admit to a mistake.
This is true but it could also be the very reason why the club won't want to delist him unless he wants to head back home to SA. Clubs don't like to admit mistakes with their first round picks. Remember Petts did sweet bugger all in his first 4 years and Fiora was given 5 years before traded.

The only thing that might save him is the number of players that would go before him.
Still that's not much of a reason.

I have zero expectations that he will ever do anything at Richmond.

Would it be right to assume MT that Paddy became incredibly lazy whilst injured??

It shouldnt take a bloke that long to return to match fitness, even minimum for AFL.

Paddy was dropped from the side at the start of the season and then copped the hip injury a week or two after that. So the "laziness" came before the injury. He was out injured for almost 3 months (mid April - early July) so that would effect his match fitness. Despite a bag of 4 goals at Coburg since returning he hasn't deserved in his 4 games at Coburg a call up to Richmond. Not consistent enough.

Meyer should stay for another 12 months. Stick the kid on a hbf. Atleast we know he can use the footy properly.

Paddy or Danny Julz?

Both will be on their last chance if they are lucky enough to survive. Most Tiger supporters would have Magic's view of Meyer with Paddy not far behind.

Not fearful of Meyer doing a Rodan if delisted.
DRod always had the drive to suceed, you'd have to stick Danny with a hot poker to get him interested.

Paddy spent a bit of time down back on the weekend. Certainly looks more dangerous up forward for the Burgers IMHO

In his defence - his injury was severe - couldn't really train at all for 2+ months. Then every time he tried to up the tempo at training the hip injury would flare again

Will interestng to see what they do with him - personally I reckon they'll keep as a backup forward

As for Danny - really don't know what to do there
