Pie fans aren't too happy about us training at Gosch's paddock or Vic Park  :wallywink.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are the boys from tiger land training on Magpie turf? As I passed by Gosch's this morning a sea of black and yellow were going thru their paces on our holy land.

;D rofl!! lol!!! The standard of poster and comment on that board really leave something to be desired. Interesting that they consider Gosch's paddock their holy land. As long as it peees the scumwood faithful off I'm all for it.

The best thing about Vic Park these days is looking up and seeing the Magpie logo has been ripped down. So much for tradition eh Eddie  :rollin.

I just back from training which was at a warm Vic Park today. A very light on session and not much action albeit I only saw the last hour of it. A bit of running, some more tackling practice with the blokes from the Storm and a little goalkicking practice at the end. The rest of the time was spent in a huddle listening to the coaches.

In rehab were Gus, Cotchin, Tambo, Connors and Simmo from what I saw. Rance, Putt and Gourdis were also with them for the boxing drills. I didn't see Browny today. Howat was doing some running on his own. Most of the rehab group were taking pings from the boundary at the goals. Cotchin nailed one through the middle with his uninjured foot and David King only missed one  :o. It looked like Danny Meyer, McGuane and a few others were also doing groundball work with Royal.

Not much else to report. There's something happening at Crown now with Cogs and one or two others but I don't know what.  Cross-training for the rest at 1.15pm.

I forgot to say Casserly needed some tape to his left thumb. When I first saw him with the trainer pointing at his thumb I thought oh no he's not done himself another injury but he got it taped up and got on with training.

Seen the line ups a couple of days ago and they are fairly weak teams in regards to an AFL level but it will certainly give all the kids an opportunity to show how good they are.

Some of our older kids, should really put their stamp on this game.

Just got back from it. It was already started when I got there but I basically saw most of the two quarters.

Non-older Richmond players and a number of Coburg players made up the teams. I didn't recognise most of the Burger players but of those I think I know were Joe Gazzo, Josh Jones? and tall Chris Stewart from North Heidelberg who has joined Coburg this year.

Richmond players who didn't play were the older guys Richo, Browny, Joel, Sugar, Tivs, Petts, McMahon. Richo, Joel and Browny were there watching in casuals. Foley didn't play either. Lids didn't play again plus those injured or those coming back from injury - Thursty (had tape around his right knee area), Simmo, McGuane, Cotchin, Meyer, Tambo, Connors, Howat, Graham.

Another injury from the game. This time Moore with a left calf  :(. He had it bandaged up.

Scores (from what I saw)

Yellows  2.2     10.5-65
Blacks    4.6      6.8-44

Goalkickers

Yellows: Polak 2, Collins 2, Stewart 2, Riewoldt, #3, #31, #36.

Blacks: Morton 2 (2.5 actually), Casserly, Polak, Hughes, Edwards.

I think Polak switched sides at the break.

I'll post more later.

With everyone no wearing their usual numbers and with so many Coburg players it was difficult to pick up match-ups. I'll post a rough idea of the teams.

Blacks          Yellows

Newman      Riewoldt
Raines           Polo
Edwards        Rance
Morton           Putt
Tuck             Cogs
Jackson        Schulz
Patto          Collard
JON             Hyde
Hughes        White
Gourdis        Silvester
Casserly       Moore
Cartledge     Collins
                   King

Polak looked like he switched sides at "half-time".

Cartledge and Patto went up against Putt and Clever in the ruck.
