That's a pretty good list. Our mids are our historical strength

Lambert at his prime was a serious gun. Around 1990 1991 IIRC.

Very underrated.

It has to be Cotchin, doesn't it?  One look in the Brownlow Medals Won column will tell you he is one of our best ever!  (Personally I thought it was KB, but he never won a Brownlow ...  )

Nope. Mentally soft. Chokes when it counts. Knights and KB killed it in finals.

Weightman was ok in finals too IIRC. And a star for Victoria when State of Origin was considered to be importNt.

One thing is certain though & it doesn't rely on distorted opinions - Cotchin already has more Brownlow Medals than KB, Knights & Weightman added together!
Also - when did Weightman or Knights ever play in 3 consecutive finals series?

They both played in more finals than Cotch.

And Woewoedin has more brownlows than Leigh Matthews, Gary Ablett Snr and Ron Barassi.

But dont let the detail get on the way.

Pretty ancient to be talking rovers nowadays when its on ballers more often than not.

So in lieu of that, and for complete impact on games and our fortunes in terms of reaming the opposition, I would have the late Billy Barrot, Ian Stewart and Geoff Raines ahead of any of the others...apologies to KB.

I'd like to see us revert to terms like rover/ruck rover, centreman, follower etc....
