Williams was hopeful Riewoldt along with every member of the team would be the beneficiary of a new coaching philosophy after admitting the side had been over-coached in recent years.

“It’s certainly been brought up that the team has been over-coached and over-analysed,” he said.

“They (coaches) are aware of that and they have moved into a phase of letting the players a little bit more and be more instinctive.

“From what I’ve heard the players are really reacting positive to it and I think it’s great coaching now that they (coaches) were open to the idea and moving ahead with it.”

As the pressure rises in the lead-up to what looms as the most important game of Hardwick’s career against Carlton in the season opener – a loss could have catastrophic consequences for the embattled coach – Williams believes a more relaxed approach will assist players in their preparations.

well if that is what your problem is, you might want to frequent the forums where its restricted to people who have played at the highest level. I mean how ridiculously  simple can you get when you come to a public forum and respond to a debate with this. Why come here at all then?
