From a new sauce:-

Apparently it's a grade 3 tear (whatever that means) which was borderline surgery required at the time. Club is concerned it is not mending as quick as expected. Numbness in legs. Will most likely be a fair wayoff playing.

Doc might be able to elaborate

It's actually caused by poor posture.

All that time spent hunched over with his hands on his knees finally caught up with him.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

 :lol

I am expecting this to be made out to be a very serious injury so the RFC can save face in never playing him again despite those picks we gave up for him.

Will probably be a nice little under the table payout for him to go away quietly

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

A grade 3 tear is a severe muscle tear. Numbness is usually more related to disc prolapse type injuries which are worse. He may have more than one type of injury which is a concern.

Like I said before it is being reported that his injury is worse than it is so they can remove him from the playing list whilst retaining face in not having to drop him considering the picks we have given up for him.
