Changes for the Pies next week?

It appears we got through Thursday night unscathed.

Fire away with your changes, if any? ....

Hunt - out

Short, Miles or Markov- In

Lloyd
Bellis
Griffiths
KMac

On serious notice.

If you're not getting the ball you have to tackle.

I think I've missed something- how is Markov not in the side??

Or even Short for that matter.

Both showed last year that we had found a couple of real good kids. Both tough, both quick and exciting and both can kick it well.

I have said this before, if we are going to be able to compete against the good sides we need to change our personal as we know what the Houlis, Hunts and Griggs will give us.
Playing Griffiths just because he is tall is just plain stupid. He is horribly out of form and we should put everyone on notice that unless you are preforming you will be dropped to the two to regain some form. Play Chol and see if he is up to it.

Outs- Houli, Hunt, Griffiths, BEllis
Ins- Markov, Short, Chol, CEllis

Lloyd was poor and could make way for Lennon. Players i don't really like Hunt, Houli and Ellis played an important role and will continue but they should be replaced Markov, Short and C. Ellis at some stage this year.

Don't hate any Tigers players and acknowledge they played a good role and if continued they will continue but i would prefer Markov, Short, Menadue and C. Ellis in the team as i think they have brighter futures.

Many a time have we stated that player X isn't the answer in a role, but how many times have we then been able to name 3-4 young players who we can all see are going to be better?  It might not happen this week, but it will happen this year ...

Cellis, Markov, Short, Chol ....    :cheers

Jack you are ignoring the small fact that they are both poo trucks.

And nearing the ends of there careers (Houli turning 29 shortly). Hunt coming out of contract.

And that we have younger players who can play better and have huge potential upside.

And that they both struggle with a modern game plan. Hunt just 1 kick Thursday night and 0 tackles. Houli I won't even bother.

In fact, If you have a valid point again please clarify because I'm struggling To find the common sense in it.

As I said, no-one will be dropped after a win - and Houli will never be dropped under Halfstep...hell, the idiots just gave him a two-year extension....

Collingwood will apply far more defensive pressure than Carlton did (which wouldn't be too hard),  have a far better midfield than Carlton and probably won't let Martin roam free - they'll smash us if we play like we did on Thursday night...

Hunt played on Pickett and kept him to 5 disposals at 60% 0 goals, 2CP and 3UP. Hunt did his job and shut this highly rated junior out of the game which assisted us winning the game. Can we upgrade in the near future...yes but if he is doing the job he stays for now.

Great post
Hunt and Houli did there job
Everyone can't be Dustin Martins either
And there are reasons why Markov .C Ellis Lennon and co don't get picked

Was one of the first "list management" decisions they made in the off-season....think it was just before Balme arrived, though I could be wrong.....
