4. Dusty in vote-winning range again

Only Patrick Dangerfield has rivalled Dustin Martin for consistent excellence this season and the Brownlow Medal favourite might add to his vote tally with his effort against the Hawks. Martin racked up more than 30 disposals for the 12th time in 2017 and laced them with at least two goals for the fifth occasion in those performances. It was far from the tattooed Tiger's most dominant display of the year, but the numbers don't lie and he will be in the umpires' thinking, along with four-goal star Josh Caddy, big ball-winner Dion Prestia and the ever-improving Kane Lambert.

Anyone give Tom Mitchell a chance? Was even racking up 800 possessions in losses. Umpires love accumulators.

Players with filthy stats have always presented as candidates come brownlow night. They never do any good. Even umps can tell the diff between 40 boring stats and 15 crucial ones.

yep for sure, we were discussing this a few weeks back. Think he will be right up there

I also think Kelly from GWS will poll well.

Media is trolling and pumping us up that Dusty's brownlow and the Premiership are a strong chance for us now.

Reckon the real chance is GWS and Kelly for flag and brownlow, they are the equivalent to Bulldogs this year not us.

Yep. Besides Danger last year it isn't usually so clear going into it. I remember Swan being unbackable favourite one year then fell short, Priddis being a surprise etc. Reckon Mitchell is going to poll just about every game, win or lose where as Dusty might be 3 points or doughnuts each game.

Cotchins had a good year and i expect he would get a few votes. Reckon caddy will take some low votes here and there.
Lambert has also been good too.

this has the classic hallmarks of a Richmondy fail.  Why the stuff would umpires, who have consistantly raped us this year, give a brownlow to a Richmond player, is a very good question lol.  I remember laughing at Eddie's beetroot red rage filled head when his boy missed out on a certain thing so I am not counting our chickens.

1. Dusty has the answers

Richmond was being asked some difficult questions through the third quarter and the match was far from settled early in the fourth with the margin cut to 24 points. The Tigers needed a hero, and Dustin Martin was the man. First, he gathered the ball in tight, exploded away and kicked a 40m banana goal. One minute later he was fending off opponents to set up Jacob Townsend for the goal that built an unassailable six-goal break. He ran off to the biggest roar of the day, which could only be interpreted as a declaration of love from the Tiger Army. Martin often ran off the back of the square on Sunday, and his clearances numbers (three) were down as a result, but his impact was immense. He finished with 36 possessions, seven inside 50s and two goals.

it is ridiculous how much power he gets from a banana kick. Go DUSTY! He deserves the brownlow!
