I am not sure about Elton's inclusion. I really hope for his sake and the club's sake he manages to kick a few goals on the day. Inclusion of McIntosh suggests to me they are concerned about the firepower of West Coast. Believe Miles should have been brought in at the expense of Lambert.

Don't think kicking goals will be a priority. Crashing packs bringing ball to ground and be available long down the line will be his role along with time in the ruck. Huge bonus if he snags a few. Let the mosquito fleet run riot along with Dusty that's where the goals will come from.

I will just be happy if he makes it through a whole game of footy without being knocked over by a stray gust of wind

yeah it would be asking too much of a key position forward to take a mark and kick a goal...

I watched a replay of the WC/Aunts game and wasn't impressed. WC are 'one paced'  automatons who , like against the doggies, can't cope with fast flowing blitzkreig footy such as we are playing. If we don't go back to bad habits under pressure, we win.

Probably why they dropped Sheed and brought back Jetta......

Well said.
If he can make himself an option and at the very least bring the footy to ground he will have done his job in his 5 gameof AFL footy.
He is not as spectacular in the air as Biff but he has very good hands, and I recon he will work harder which is what our club needs. No more passengers.

You seem to rate him a bit BT. What do you see in him? Has he been decent in the recent VFL practice games?

I'm not sure a rate him as such but I think he has something to work with. He is a good size, works hard from what I've heard and is athletic. He has a pretty decent set of hands (take a look at his draft year vid on YouTube) and is a forward imo. I think Dimma hasn't helped his delvelopment but that is in the past and he just needs to move forward.
I spoke to an ex coach of his today and he said we havent seen the best of him yet, and knowing this guy that is good enough for me to think he is worth a go.
He just needs to get to as many contests as possible and bring the footy to ground at the very least in his first 5 to 10 games at this level and work hard to help the other forwards to keep the footy in our forwardline.
I really hope he shows something tomorrow to give us all something to hang our hats on.

I hope so, would love to see a couple of our talls exceed expectations and actually give us something to get excited about.

If they all bomb which is more likely than not, then we go to the draft this year with 2 x first rounders with the view of drafting 2 young KPP's but by the time they mature Rance and jack will be the wrong side of 30 and well and truly past their best, which means we'll need another few to replace them. We never seem to get it right to have 4-5-6 good talls at the same time, we always seem to be content to have one gun fwd and one gun defender

Fair enough. Hope he goes well tomorrow.
