If hogan could have caught the ball in that last quarter the Dees could have won. He dropped 3 or 4 about 30m out. All contested hard gets in the wet but we were lucky it wasnt his night.

Someone always comes up with a reason we were "lucky" and the favourite is usually "lucky the other team didn't kick straight. Well, Melbourne were lucky it wasn't our night in front of the sticks. Can find "what ifs" for any scenario, at the end of the day it doesn't matter

We were probably lucky they were two blokes down....but having blokes go down also often inspires sides to dig deep.....as for goal kicking - we had 8 more scoring shots in the end and were even at three quarter time with us 7-11 and them 11-7...so they were actually kicking straighter than us up until that point so if anything, we should've won by more....
