Anything possible.

On a balmy 20deg night in June with absolutely no expectations of winning the three of us along with the rest of the brave tiger faithful that decided to attend.
We all had a pretty good time of it that night.

You just never really know how it might end up. You go in the hope you see a great win.  :gotigers

Think we can win
Need 2-3 changes from Demons win
Take the same team we will get beaten
See what happens with team selection

What are your suggestions?

You obviously can't go with Elton
Too hard for Toby to do everything
So do we throw in Maric Soldo or Chol ?
Menadue ?  Replace with C.Ellis ?
Vlaustin plays
Team selection is critical this week

I thought we got exposed early on Monday night when the game was purely inside, the light bodies got pushed aside too easily.  It was different story when it became outside.

Vlaustin assists with the bigger body, I agree probably for Menadue

I'd play Soldo in the ruck and have Toby spend more time forward, we need to find a KPF to assist Jack as the game wont always suit Castagna, Rioli and Butler.

Whilst on Butler, he needs to be cleaner with the footy.....last few weeks he has fumbled a lot

Think things have become more complicated with them now saying Jenkins likely to play for the Crows (afl website)

I was looking going smaller in the FWD50 this week and just replacing Elton with Lloyd but not sure we can make that straight swap now

Would go Soldo but think if the elevate it will be Choi

Monday night was a special win, despite my own feelings being that we may have papered over some cracks. It was not a convincing overall performance.

I can't deny my gut feeling of a 60+ point defeat (despite my mates all claiming we "match up well" and "travel well") - but we have pleasantly surprised all my expectations so far this season.

I feel it tends to be a good idea to set the bar low  :whistle

I have tipped the Tigers every week up to now. Don't think I can do it this week.

Im going for the happyness tip. Adelaide. If they win I will be happy I tipped correctly, if they loose I will be ecstatic that the Tigers got up over there. Sort of a win/WINNNN pick.

So your fault if we lose then....

I usually tip against us for that exact reason  ;)

Free hit vs the Crows due to current good record.

Need to at least be competitive.

However I'm not ruling the boys out. They seem to play better when nobody gives them a chance...

I think we will win.

We travel well and the type of footy we are playing at the minute will test any side. It's amazing what tackling and putting pressure on sides does. Even good sides.

I think Vlastuin will definitely come in for Menadue but that will be the only change.

Can't see us winning this one if it remains dry in all seriousness, my belief is that we will lose this game by 5 goals "minimum".

I think we can all agree we still have big holes in the current on ground 22 there are VFL standard players playing in our firsts.

The pressure that Adelaide will bring to this contest will break and expose these players as per normal. and we will all again talk about them and how stuffed they are.

Changes I would make:
Elton out, Chol in: Chol is an unknown to Adel, can ruck, can clunk a mark, can kick a goal, can bring the ball to ground for the smalls.
Ellis out, Townsend in: Pure lock-down role on either Sloane or one of the crouches, Lambert will help in this plan.
Markov out, Vlaustuin in: Bigger body, better tackler, more versatile.

With there midfield and indigenous players and the form they are in, they are going to be a handful, a bridge too far.

Crows-Tigers not just about Rory v Dusty

afl.com.au
27 April 2017

IT'S BILLED as the Rory v Dusty show, but Adelaide star Rory Sloane believes Richmond's supporting cast will be just as crucial in deciding who remains unbeaten after Sunday's clash at Adelaide Oval.

The Crows and the Tigers will take perfect 5-0 records into the encounter after brilliant starts to their respective seasons.

Dustin Martin has been in outstanding form for the Tigers, but has received great support from skipper Trent Cotchin, and recruits Josh Caddy and Dion Prestia.

"They've got a great midfield," Sloane said.

"Cotchin has been unbelievable for them, you've now got Caddy running through there and Dion Prestia is there as well.

"They have a really solid midfield that has a heap of depth to it, but so do we.

"We'll keep rotating a lot of guys through there."

The Crows have silenced the critics who questioned their midfield depth after they couldn't get Carlton star Bryce Gibbs during the trade period last year.

Matt and Brad Crouch, Curtly Hampton, Rory Atkins, Riley Knight, Eddie Betts, Charlie Cameron and Richard Douglas are among those who have made an impact through the middle of the ground.

"Matty Crouch has certainly stood up to another level," Sloane said.

"Brad Crouch, as you saw on the weekend (against Gold Coast), I thought his first quarter was some of the best footy I've seen him play.

"We've had Curtly Hampton come in, he provides us with that outside run and speed that I don't have.

"Rory Atkins provides that same speed, then we've seen guys like Rory Laird, Riley Knight, Eddie and Charlie come through, so we're adding a bit of depth to the midfield."

Utility Andy Otten will swing back if key defender Daniel Talia is ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Forward Josh Jenkins (ribs), Riley Knight (hamstring) and Jake Kelly (eye) are also under injury clouds.

The Crows are the highest-scoring team in the competition and lead the League in contested possessions.

But Sloane said there were still areas of their game they needed to improve after easily accounting for the Suns by 67 points last weekend, while conceding 13 goals.

"The last quarter on the weekend we fell away a bit," Sloane said.

"One area we want to get better would be the team defence, we want to restrict teams to scoring a bit better.

"There's a long way to go in the season and we're certainly not content with where we are at."

The biggest challenge for the Crows' defence will be shutting down Tigers forward Jack Riewoldt after his six-goal haul against Melbourne on Monday night.

"The thing with Jack, he's so good in the air as you saw the other night, he's so good on the ground, too," Sloane said.

"The way we play our defence, it's not reliant on one guy down there.

"It's about us midfielders getting enough pressure on the footy and forwards up the ground so the defenders can take an easy mark."
