Absolutely imperative - best footy brain in the business and exactly what our playing group, who as a whole, are probably the dumbest in the business, need. Were all set get him last year until he decided to keep playing. As important a target as any player.

IIRC, we sounded him out about a coaching role last year too.

We didn't just sound him out - as I just said- he was on his way to us until GWS gave him another year at the last minute. Will be extremely disappointing if he doesn't choose us this time.

Im not so sure. There is a big differnce between footy smarts and the ability to pass that on to others. Might be a personal bias but I don't see him as a teacher.

Except virtually everyone who's played with him says they've learnt from him.... :shh

Yeah I have seen media interviews with players saying how they have learned to kick around the corner from him. Not convinced they have learned anything else or that they wouldn't say that if not directly asked about a team mate in front of a camera. Find me something else that might change my mind and I would gladly reconsider. Balmy might know so if he backs this I'm probably wrong but I'm yet to see anything from SJ to suggest he would be a good teacher.
