Guinane Medal (VFL Best and Fairest award) – Anthony Miles

Anthony Miles has won the Guinane Medal, as the Richmond VFL team’s Best and Fairest player for 2017.

The tenacious midfield ‘ball magnet’ had a major impact for the Tigers at VFL level right throughout the season. His strong on-ball efforts were a significant factor in them reaching the grand final.

Michael Roach Medal (leading goalkicker award) – Jack Riewoldt

For the eighth year in-a-row, Riewoldt has taken out the Michael Roach Medal.

Riewoldt kicked 54 goals and played a pivotal role in the Tigers’ triumphant 2017 season.

The star key forward averaged 13.3 disposals, 3.0 marks and 2.5 tackles per game.

He was ranked No. 1 in the competition for marks inside 50 and fourth for goals.

Great reward for a player who doesn't have the profile but impacts a game to the benefit of his teammates.
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Won't get rated highly compared with his Brownlow and Norm Smith and PAMVP and CAMVP etc, but winning BnF's in premiership years is VERY special.

Well Done Dusty!

Under the Jack Dyer Medal voting system, all of the team’s players on match day receive a rating from 0-5 based on their overall performance.

The match committee assesses each player’s offensive, defensive, and contest impacts on the game.

After those game phases have been analysed, the 0-5 rating is given, as a joint match committee decision.

Votes are not allocated for what the match committee deems a below-average performance.

In rances speech he was talking about his wife and I reckon he was about to say how he couldn't wait to retire from footy with her but held back
