They have a Father/Daughter rule. So Richo's, Cotch's etc daughters can be selected

There is a Mother/Daughter rule but not sure of the criteria

Richmond Football Club has informed Hannah Burchell that she will not be offered a contract for the 2023 AFLW season.

Burchell, 27, played 18 games for the Tigers across three seasons before an ACL injury meant she was inactive for Season 7.

The inaugural Tiger also played 1 match for Geelong in 2019.

Richmond Head of Women’s Football, Kate Sheahan, thanked Burchell for her contribution to the Club.

“We would like to thank Hannah for her dedication across her four years with us,” she said.

“Hannah has played her part in building our Women’s program and can be proud to have been one of our inaugural players.

“We wish her and her family all the best for the future.”

Very poor decision IMHO

Don't agree with cutting players coming off knee recos

Plus I can think others who should "not be offered a contract" before Birch

Richmond AFLW player charged over alleged drunk jet-ski ride

Richmond AFLW player Jess Hosking has been charged for allegedly driving a jet-ski while under the influence of alcohol on a trip to Burleigh Heads, Queensland.

Richmond said they were aware of the incident, which occurred over the weekend, and have informed the AFL.

“Hosking has been charged for driving a jet-ski while under the influence of alcohol,” the club said in a statement.

“The AFL has been informed of the incident and as this matter is currently under investigation by Queensland Police we are unable to make any further comment.”

Hosking is in Queensland with fellow Tigers players, including sister Sarah, Grace Egan and Eilish Sheerin.

Hosking was recently in the headlines when she apologised for an offensive message written on her shoulder tape during Richmond’s semi-final against North Melbourne.

The AFL issued a “please explain” to Hosking for the message on her strapping, but didn’t hand out any punishment for the incident after her apology.

The AFL said “Hosking was extremely remorseful and deeply disappointed in her actions. The AFL has since accepted a letter of apology from Jess and has issued an official warning to the club and Jess regarding the offensive language.”

Richmond AFLW star Jess Hosking avoids conviction over boozy jetski ride

An AFLW star has avoided a conviction for drink driving on a jetski during a holiday on the Gold Coast.

Jess Hosking, from Richmond, was instead ordered to pay an $800 fine for her “ill-considered” conduct, with a court told a conviction could affect her social wellbeing and charity work.

Hosking, who signed with the Tigers last year, did not speak to waiting media outside Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday and instead hurriedly entered a car after her sentencing.

She pleaded guilty to a single charge of driving over the middle alcohol limit on a personal watercraft.

The court was told Hosking was riding a red and white jetski about 10.40am on December 4 when she was stopped by police. She told officers she had consumed UDL cans before operating the watercraft.

Hosking, 27, registered a BAC of 0.137 at 11.12am that same day. Under Queensland law, the blood alcohol limit while using boats – including personal watercraft – is 0.05.

The court was told she was “clearly ashamed and remorseful” and co-operated with police.

When the charges were laid, Richmond issued a statement saying they were aware of the incident involving Hosking.

“The AFL has been informed of the incident and as this matter is currently under investigation by Queensland Police we are unable to make any further comment,” a spokesman said.

Defence barrister Patrick Wilson said Hosking had been subjected to adverse media publicity as a result of the charge.

He asked the court not to record a conviction, citing Hosking’s extensive charity work overseas.

“She is plainly of good character,” Mr Wilson said.

“There’s a real prospect her social wellbeing will be affected by the recording of a conviction.”

Acting magistrate Rob Turra reduced Hosking’s penalty because of her early plea of guilty, which he said indicated her remorse.

“This is ill-considered conduct, putting others at risk,” he told her.

“You should not have been driving that watercraft.”

Magistrate Turra noted Hosking had “given a lot back to the community” through her charity work and took into account her good standing in the AFLW community.

Hosking was fined $800 with no conviction recorded.

Richmond declined to comment further when contacted by NCA NewsWire on Wednesday and referred to their previous statement.

One UDL can is equivalent to two standard drinks (gets you to around the 0.05 limit). So, she must have had a couple.

0.137 two cans?
LMAO
The lightest of lightweights wouldn't blow that after 2 cans.

Ran pubs, have responsible serving of alcohol etc, so a fairly educated guess that she's had far more than 2 drinks .. using your logic if she had a 6 pack she would blow .40 or so , which is the level for coma or possible death ...

A "couple" can also mean 3. We're talking about drinking the equivalent of say 4-to-6 standard drinks within a short period of time (less than an hour). She's only a 5 ft 5" tall (weighs 60-ish kg?) female too.
