No injuries tonight.

Dimma said Butler will be back next week.

Fire away with your changes, if any?

Out: Castagna, Elton
In: Butler/Stengle (maybe even drop Lloyd to accomodate both) Chol.

I realise this requires upgrades from the rookie list- so be it.

Out:
Castanga
Elton

In:
Butler
Chol - We need the other tall for structure but Elton is clearly not the answer. Chol is raw but lets play him.

Agreed with this. Castagna really gives me the poos, gets in great positions but just too often makes the wrong decisions, I hope he can rectify this coz If he can he would easily be the best of the small forwards in terms of output anyway.
And Elton should be gone by seasons end so may as well start blooding the youth instead of waiting 6 years to find out like we have with Elton. Geez we are in trouble with key position players  :banghead

INS: Butler, Lennon

OUTS: Lloyd, Elton

No point playing 2nd tall as the one we have out there is simply non competitive

Sad when Grigg at 6ft 2" offers more in the ruck than a bloke that is 6ft 6" or more

Elevate Chol.

Even a guy who is underdeveloped and not ready will at least improve given games. Elton has had his chances. Sorry Todd, but I've seen enough.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

How m
Any times have you seen Chol play at
VFL LEVEL?
He appears disinterested and shows little desire to chase defensively from what I have seen.
Is he ready?

No he isn't ready in my opinion either...but, we really have nothing to lose.

I think elton is improving, astbury is also improving, would rather keep playing them,
I am concerned that we will burn Nanks out, would like to see him rotated during games so we really need a viable ruck option.

Where is Hampson at? He's on holidays with him family every 2nd week. Surely Hamma as a decoy 2nd tall or even Maric is better than the experiments of Elton, Soldo and Chol..
Go Tigers!

Yeah I agree he is improving a bit. He doesnt look as slow to react as he did in his first few games, starting to get the pace of the game and did look a cut above VFL standard last week, whereas prior to this season he looked average at best in the VFL. He gives us more consistency of effort than Soldo does.

5 more mins a qtr in the ruck is sufficient to give nank a chop out.

Chol has the explosiveness and athleticism to be a weapon now, but his problem is he plods for 95% game time and is high octane for 5%. Really frustrating seeing him literally walking when the contest is 5-7metres away. I dont know what it is, is it lack of aerobic capacity? is it laziness? but the development coaches should be reading him the riot act and flogging him on the track to get that fitness up.
