Pathetic.

Edwards is a terrible set shot. Ditto George.

Jack Riewoldt - missed so many "easy" goals this year.

Prestia and Caddy are both ordinary too.

Bad kicking has cost us wins this year ( Sydney/GWS )

Perhaps we will finally kick straight in a final when it counts .

As far as set shots go George is the worst i have ever seen :lol Plays his role however if only he could kick he would be electric

Despite any other failings our goal kicking is the reason we are not on top of the ladder.

Was hoping for a docker victory today - never seen "the better team " lose by 5 goals . Atrocious kicking today by Fremantle.

Suddenly I don't feel as bad .

Our goal kicking again today was horrible.

But what gets me is in the first quarter when Edwards takes a mark 40 out from goal only to kick it sideways to a player not even 10 metres away. He must be so not confident of kicking that goal.
He and most others should be choc full of confidence after a week of goal kicking on the track. I understand if you miss a few early and lose confidence but to start with none is f$&king ridiculous.

We have so many poor set shot goal kickers. George, Caddy, Edwards, Prestia, McIntosh, Grigg.

McIntosh? You may as well include Rance and Grimes in the list too! :lol

I would say that Cotch and Dusty aren't exactly experts at goal kicking either. Can't recall Dusty nailing a set shot on an angle and Cotch has missed very simple shots. Our best shots for goal probably are Jack and Lennon although Jack has had the yips, missed an easy one early yesterday.

  • All up inside ya.
Cotch has been good from set shots this year I reckon. Much improved from last couple of years.

We flopped in the four close games which is an issue in itself but if we had kicked even a little bit straighter we go two games clear on top. That's how I see it anyway.

The stats, compiled by Champion Data, compared how players have kicked against the competition average and take into account where shots at goal are taken from, what type of kicks they were and the pressure the players were under.

St Kilda nail 5.5 per cent fewer shots than they should – ranked second-last in that category (with Richmond 18th).

Champion Data has also ranked every club based on its average expected score compared to its actual score.

On that measure, St Kilda is ranked 17th. Again, only Richmond has been more wasteful.

I think we will start improving on that stat if Caddy can get three every week from a meter out
