NAB Cup 24 vs Hawthorn?
« on: February 13, 2006, 04:59:36 PM »
We know Browny won't be playing so who do you guys think will make the 24 to play against the Hawks?

Do we rest our senior blokes and go mainly with youth or do we put our best available squad on the park?

terry has said that he wants to win the NAB. with this in mind i think he will field a strong senior side with a sprinkling of younguns.

Also form will dictate heavily on who gets a gurnsey so you'd think Hall would be a deadset as his Pre-Season has been superb. Also little Whitey might get a run too.

Rest Brown, Chaffey, Coughlan, Thursty and Staff.

Hoping JON, Hughes and Mcguane, Humm and Angus get a run too at some point.

terry has already stated that he would pick the best 22 plus the 2 extras that are close to making the best 22.

so i figure, he will pick the best team he can , so the only better players missing will be the injured ones

I'm hoping youngsters such as Raines, Meyer, Polo and JON get a run to see what kind of level they are at at the moment

Bring back Mark Graham just to rub it into the Hawkes.

I am pretty sure Chaffey wont be playing because he's only just started full training since his OP. Doubt we'll see JON in the frist week.

I'd like to see a few kids in there - Polo, Meyer, Casserley, Raines, Pattison. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Hughes gets a run too

I've heard that there will be a practice game on at the Oval formerly called Optus on the Friday before the NAB cup game (at 5.00pm) against the Kangas forthose blokes not playing on the Saturday - so we may get a chance to see everyone bar Brown running around :thumbsup

Raines will be in the Probables in tomorrow's intra-club so if he gets through that without injury then it sounds like he'll be a certainty in the team against  Hawks.

Thanks for that WP  :cheers. Another good choice of ground by the RFC lol.

Here's who I think may run out on Saturday night. They said Cogs will play but I have my doubts. I'd rather rest him.

B.   Raines       Gaspar       Schulz
HB. Hartigan    J.Bowden   Johnson
C.   P.Bowden   Tuck         Rodan
HF. Deledio       Richo       Krakouer
F.   Tambling   Simmonds  Limbach
R.   Pattison      Hyde       Newman

Int.  Stafford, Hall, Humm, Foley, Polo, Kellaway

As it's been made public already, yep he has a broken finger. That's why I left him out of my 24 :(.
