Peggy O'Neal on 3aw pre-game:
* Hardwick reports to the board 3 times per year - preseason, midseason (June board meeting) and post-season. Only more if there's "something going on".
* Look at the whole picture (re: the senior coach). W/L tells you if you're on the right track but it's not the deciding factor in whether a coach stays or goes. We put the process in the hands of the CEO and go by his recommendation.
* Getting into the Eight is the first step (only half way through the season). If we continue to play this brand of footy we'll play and win finals.
* In constant contact with Dusty's manager. Final decision put off to end of season. As Dusty is a quiet individual people don't know what he does around the club. He's very important to us. Board meeting on Monday so she'll get an update on where things are at and what we're currently offering to Dusty. The Board leaves all this to the footy dept. (footy manager). Dusty's a restricted FA so we get a chance to match any market offer.
* We have a provisional AFLW licence. Our culture and our financial capacity should strongly favour us to get a AFLW team. Also expanding the AFLW to indigenous female footballers via our connections.
* Mid-high 40k crowd today expected.
