I revisited the round 1 stats to uncover reasons why Hunt got the flick after 1 game .

0 tackles . Only player not to lay a tackle.

Lloyd and McIntosh also got dropped - they had one tackle a peice

Hunt also had 1 kick and 8 handballs in that opening match .

He also muffed an easy mark in the opening minute..

They are doing something bigger than just promoting Hunt.

They are sending a message to all the players.

Perform well at VFL level and you will be rewarded.

There is absolutely no reason why we couldn't have brought Bolton back in even if Marcov had to go!
What is wrong with a backline of

Grimes  Rance  Short
Astbury  McIntosh  Ellis

Rotate the small forward on a wing and hopefully Rioli might be able to get a few kicks and some confidence.

Especially with Vlastuin coming back in soon.

Snip

Will give people the benefit of the doubt in this instance rather than dishing out 3 suspensions  >:(

Reckon Miles would be a good in tonight. Contested footy will decide the game
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
