ENTRY-level tickets for this year's Toyota AFL Grand Final and every week of the finals series have been frozen, keeping them at a 16-year low after they were reduced last year. 

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan confirmed entry-level tickets for the Grand Final would remain $180 while finals tickets in the opening two weeks would start at $35 before rising to $65 for preliminary finals.

In another boost for fans, supporters of competing teams will receive an additional 4000 tickets to the Grand Final, with 2000 allocated to each club.

While entry-level ticket prices have been frozen, the price of Grand Final tickets in all other categories will increase by three per cent, with the price of premium level tickets lifted for the first time since 2013.

Tickets to matches in week one of the finals go on sale to competing club members at 9am on Tuesday, August 29, to the general public from 2pm on Tuesday, August 29, and AFL members (MCG only) from 9am Wednesday August 30.
