Caddy return a big plus for Tigers

Richmond is set to welcome back Josh Caddy for the qualifying final against Geelong on Friday week, with the Tigers weighing up whether to ease him back from a hamstring injury in their VFL team’s elimination final clash this Saturday.

Coach Damien Hardwick said the former Cat played a “finals brand of footy”, and was a big-game player, meaning Richmond would make at least one change to the team that beat St Kilda by 41 points in the final home-and-away round match of the season.

The Tigers are unlikely to move away from their small forward structure, with Hardwick declaring it had become the team's preferred set-up.

“I think it's our one-wood now. We look at it and we accept it for what it is,” Hardwick said.

“They are small, but they're certainly quick and they fight like buggery.

“And we've found a second key forward in Jacob Townsend at the moment. He's been incredible.

“We're really excited by the way those guys play and the pressure they put on . . . it creates opportunity.”

Whose going to be the unlucky one to miss?

I think it will come from one of the below

George
Markov
Graham

Hopefully not Graham and I wouldn't want us to mess around by dropping one of the 3 smalls

Reckon it will be Markov or Broad.
we have 4 locks in defense Rance, Astbury, Grimes and Vlastuin. We then have sml/med spots left between Markov, Broad, Houli, and Ellis and we also have McIntosh who has played a bit off hb this yr.

Personally id roll the dice and drop perenial panic merchant failures in pressure games in Houli and Ellis for a couple of mids Caddy and Miles. Would also drop Castagna and play Markov as a high h/f.

I like it
This is going to be a tight contested game no question and i believe the victor will walk away having kicked 10-12 goals
The anywhere, anytime Tigers.
