THE AFL's place as Australia's most valuable television product has been solidified with the 2017 Grand Final confirmed as the year's No.1 show.

Richmond's win against Adelaide scored 3.562 million viewers according to official television ratings – making it the most watched sporting event on Australian television this year.

The game eclipsed other major sporting events including the Australian Open tennis men's singles final and the rugby league state of origin.

The Tigers' premiership also out-rated other major TV events including auction night on renovation show The Block, the climax of Australian Ninja Warrior and the announcement of cooking contest champions on My Kitchen Rules.

If you replay the 2017 AFL Grand Final at 9:41:22 on December 31st, the final siren will sound right as the clock strikes midnight. Start off your new year right 😏🎉

Tex Walker was finally found, apparently he hasn’t moved since the Grand Final. A search of Dave Astbury’s pocket found proof that he was in there all day.... #richmondfc #gotiges #aflpremiers2017

Tex is an average footballer, but he needs to stick with it.

He is hopless as a square leg umpire. Can't even line up on the correct side of the wicket.

Is looking for the dummy he lost on 29 September?

Maybe Danny Frawley can mentor Don Pyle as to how they can celebrate it 10 years down the track
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

But he will always have the lasting memory of their stupid "power ranger" stance to hold on too and look back on

Hasn't gone away empty handed  :rollin

 :lol

I went to a party the other night, and one of my mates who is also an avid Tiger turned up with his hair done like Tex Walker, complete with the moustache and the eyebrows.

And he was wearing one of these shirts with 'Beaten' written in black texta just below the neck line.

I wish I had a photo, it was bloody funny.
