Adelaide have officially parted ways with Collective Minds, who ran their highly successful preseason camp.

Don Pyke has now labelled the camp a fail.

Some absolute garbage in the media today

Grant Thomas stated that this is the worst group of premiership players he's ever seen

and some stufstuffnuckle croweater journo Jai something had a massive crack at us in the heraldsun

Should we ask Thomo if the Saints are the best group to win a wooden spoon at the end of this season?

Late quote

FWIW Thomas praises us all the time on his podcast with Sheahan and Newman
I work in Africa and they were taking the pee out of me for saving Africa.......

Just further to this, I didn't realise the Crows players were actually blindfolded on the bus while being forced to listen to our theme song. That's just plain bizarre!   :rollin

When we play them in two weeks time, the whole Tiger Army should sing as Adelaide runs onto the ground ...

The wheels on the bus go round and round,
round and round,
round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
all through the town.
    (Roll hands around each other)

The wipers on the bus go Swish, swish, swish;
Swish, swish, swish;
Swish, swish, swish.
The wipers on the bus go Swish, swish, swish,
all through the town.
    ("Swish" hands in front of you like windshield wipers)

The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep;
Beep, beep, beep.
The horn on the bus goes Beep, beep, beep,
all through the town.
    (Slap palm in front of you like honking a horn)

The doors on the bus go open and shut;
Open and shut;
Open and shut.
The doors on the bus go open and shut;
all through the town.
    (Push hands back and forth in front of you)

The Driver on the bus says "Move on back,
move on back, move on back;"
The Driver on the bus says "Move on back",
all through the town.
    (Point thumb over your shoulder)

The babies on the bus says "Wah, wah, wah;
Wah, wah, wah;
Wah, wah, wah".
The babies on the bus says "Wah, wah, wah",
all through the town.
    (Rub fists in front of eyes)

The mommies on the bus says "Shush, shush, shush;
Shush, shush, shush;
Shush, shush, shush."
The mommies on the bus says "Shush, shush, shush"
all through the town.

The story that keeps on giving :yep.

'Collective Minds' held a press conference today trying to claim amongst other denials that our theme song wasn't played despite everyone else over the past six months saying it was.

THE COMPANY behind Adelaide's controversial pre-season camp has denied players were left scarred by the experience and deflected blame for the Crows' dreadful season.

Mind training firm Collective Mind on Monday held a press briefing in Melbourne to address what it described as "salacious claims" about the camp, carried out following Adelaide's Grand Final loss to Richmond.

The Crows, who finished 12th on the ladder, cut ties with the business midway through the season amid reports the psychologically stressful camp had caused lingering tensions within the playing group and offended indigenous players.

Company director Amon Woulfe rubbished claims players were forced to listen to the Tigers' theme song on loop, saying the feedback from players had been "overwhelmingly positive".

Sam McClure said Adelaide dumped Collective Minds early on in the season but, when they were 6-3, Don Pyke brought them back without consulting the players who were scarred by that preseason camp. They lost the next 4 games before dumping Collective Minds for a second time during their midseason bye.

Elvis with Adelaide's new theme song:

We're caught on a bus
I can't walk out
Because we're listening to the Richmond theme song too much, baby

Why can't you see
What they're doing to me
When I don't believe a word they say?

We can't go on together
With collective minds (collective minds)
And we can't build our premiership dreams
On collective minds

Listening to SEN and how Adelaide felt they Failed and were Losers, give me a break. They got to the Grand Final which is amazing.

18 teams, TBH I was happy to be there, the fact that we won was unreal.

I don't think Adelaide players should be beating themselves up too much. They got there, the day didn't pan out for you, move on, learn from it and win the next time.

Collective Minds pfft, their agenda would have been outlined and ratified by Adelaide FC. They were only implementing it. Perhaps they should have gauged how the players were reacting and modified their approach.

Their problems look to be internal.

They've always been an odd insular club. In the 90s, they sacked their entire Victorian-based staff for away games (most of who were expat South Aussies) because they didn't want even people living in Victoria working for them. Paranoid much!  :lol

Bizarre.  They were such little bunnies about losing and so were Geelong.  As you say, I too was just stoked we had got into a Granny and was proud of our blokes, they had just smashed the finals and proven they were a good side.  I thought no matter what happened, we had a team that was going places.  To then win it was just nirvana.  Geelong acted like we cheated them of their birthright in the final and so did the crows in the Granny.
Lots of people name their swords......

"Adelaide were wracked by injuries and the ongoing fallout from their ill-advised pre-season camp this season, which followed on from their grand final loss to Richmond.

The Gold Coast camp has been described as cult-like and psychologically-distressing for players, some of whom are believed to still require counselling."

Must be that part where they were forced to listen to the Richmond club song on repeat :D :D :D :D :D
