October 10, 2017 RICHMOND premiership defender Alex Rance has the moves both on and off the field.
Rance will make his acting debut in short film Crafted Moves, in which he traces dance steps in chalk through an old South Melbourne warehouse.
“I needed to do a bit of work because I’m not the best dancer, but after working with a choreographer throughout the process, it’s coming along nicely,” said Rance.
“I don’t mind a bit of acting as it’s always good fun to be in front of the camera.

Rance plans to continue building an acting career. Picture: Burning House“I’ll probably leave dancing to the professionals, but I might do a bit more of acting in the future.”
The film’s release on Friday coincides with the launch of Habitus luxury townhomes.
It is a gentleman’s wager-inspired short film, offering the first glimpse of the upcoming Habitus development in South Melbourne.
“When I saw the inspiration clip for the Habitus mini movie, it had a bit of Jude Law swagger and I thought I could maybe pull it off,’’ Rance said.
“The guys on set have been so good in helping me and making me feel comfortable, so it’s been a really great experience.”
