Organ donorship
« on: February 27, 2006, 10:25:00 PM »
Is anyone else here an organ donor?

They've introduced a new form to register as a donor which means family members no longer need to be asked for permission (as some family members in the past have opposed the person's wishes). Not sure why people are against it. I'm not planning to go anytime soon lol but when you've snuffed it you're body has snuffed it whether you are religious or not. Best of all it can save another person's life as opposed to letting good organs and tissues just rot away in a wooden box.

Indeed, his head lol - well that part of his brain that remembers appointments.  It is a gem and should be passed down to the next generation lol

I think it is a great idea.  If it can prolong the life of another person - what a better parting gift you will give.

Have been for a long time - Well before Hooksey et al

Have never seen the point of being stuck in a hole for worms to eat when I go ... I have told loved one's - Use whatever can be used (LOL)
Cremate and ashes on the MCG some on Punt Rd and the rest in port phillip bay ... At least that way I get what I want and hopefully other people do to and when people visit my favourite places they know I will be there in spirit.

And if Richmond dont win a flag before I die - Well I will be there anyway when they do - Like it or not  :thumbsup
