We were hardly going to let Castagna go after announcing we were promoting him & Soldo to senior list. Guessing the second year is coverage just in case Bolton heads back to WA. :shh

Anyway, is that everyone now? Has Drummond actually re-signed or not? Reckon we might need at least one more free spot.

I hope Bolton stays but if he does decide to go home the Eagles will need to pay a premium  :gotigers

Can't see too many clubs trading out of next year's first round  - they wouldn't even trade future firsts this year and were even reluctant to trade future seconds such is the anticipated strength & depth of next year's draft - so it will likely be a second and/or 2019 first and maybe even a player. :shh

Also why, if GC match our bid for Lynch - and they almost certainly will unless Lynch has a real shocker of a year - I hope we don't go giving up a first rounder for him - which  I have no doubt GC will demand as a bare minimum.  :shh :shh

Reckon there'll be a fair bit of talent up for grabs if GC have another bad year....dunno how we'd get him or fit him in the cap but woudn't mind Jack Martin as well....he nearly left this year... :shh :shh :shh

Jury's still out but Stuart Dew gets good raps so Gold Coast may not be the rabble  of the past few years. Saying that one man does not make a footy club and Ive seen enough well credentialed coaches right royally stuff it up.

7 out, 2 upgraded rookies.
Yarren, Lennon, Maric, Batch, Morris, Hunt and Elton.
5 picks in the draft seems like a good number in a premiership year
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
