“I wouldn’t want to be playing full-forward on Noah Balta at the moment,” former Richmond star full-forward Jeff Hogg.

For someone so quick he sure gets beat fairly easily on the lead.

He has a few weapons he seems to quite reluctant to use... :shh

Atleast 3 of the 4 goals he gave JK way too much space then didn’t even sprint to close it down when the ball was coming in. Just casually jogged behind him.

I still firmly believe we got it wrong at the selection table. We are playing a KPD  short atm.

It was nothing to do with the defenders. Our forwards (inc Riewoldt) cost us that game. Apart from CCJ they were stuffen woeful.

With respect Frankie I don't think Astbury would not have made any difference last night

I'm not hater but just think like Bachar it may be time for him to hang up the boots

are you joking? Trust me im not in the camp that astbury has years left, but if you think he wouldnt have made a difference then i suggest you watch the game again.

We were one defender short and Balta had one of the worst games ive seen him play.

Balta would have filled the hole instead being beaten constantly second to the ball and his opponent.

Agree re Balta, he had a shocker. If he hadn't of then the outcome is most likely different

Vlastuin beat Darling, Broad beat Rywn. Grimes beat Allen.

So clearly the weak link here was Balta on Kennedy. Your assumption is Astbury plays then Kennedy doesn't kick his 4 goals. My counter argument is based on how Astbury has been going pre injury and sides playing through him and exposing his lack of pace then IMO he wouldn't have made a difference. The other thing is Astbury has been caught out holding his opponent alot this year. He grabs to fool his opponents ability to lead and he is getting caught doing it more and more in his twilight years

Call it foolish but i was coming from the point of view with Astbury injured since round 10 we should have been playing Miller.
I know some think him no good but one thing he does have is real speed off the mark Miller on Kennedy and Balta is free to take away the space.

Like WP i think Astbury is shot but i agree he would have helped if he was fit.

We look very exposed with the ball coming into D50. Need another tall like Miller or at least someone like KMac dropping back as a spare for the night.
