Like any book written on the run and published so soon after the completion of the season, there is a little too much information on the support cast at times but it's not a quibble just a reality because even the extras give an insight into the modern AFL club.
As I wrote a while ago, there is a lot of detail on the "support cast" but I personally found that the better part of the book.
There is a LOT about the people you simply don't hear about and it's pretty informative.
We have heard discussions on here about different staff. This clearly describes their work and responsibilities.
Funnily enough the two areas that weren't really done in depth IMO were the board and coaching areas which are the areas that are most speculated on in the daily media.
Thought favouring the backroom staff over the coaches or board was good.
Those two areas you wouldn't get much straight info from anyway - corporate intellectual property - and if you want that you'll get it with daily media speculation.
