Herald Sun footy magazine 2018:

Footy18 season preview features Dustin Martin, Gary Ablett, crystal ball predictions

Herald Sun
22 Feb 2018

DUSTIN Martin by the man who knows him best (and flies to Las Vegas with him every summer), the real story of Gary Ablett’s return plus expert tips, team previews and lots more — don’t miss Footy18.

The Herald Sun’s 2018 footy magazine features 116 pages packed with everything you need to know before Round 1, including:

THE Second Coming — The Son of a Legend, who will be a legend, returns home. Scott Gullan talks to Gary Ablett Jr about his return to Geelong and why it was for the right reasons.

DUSTY By Dane — Collingwood legend Dane Swan’s exclusive column on his bromance with Tigers superstar Dustin Martin.

SLEEPING Giants — Richmond roared in 2017. Now Matthew Lloyd says Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton are stirring.

CHANGE the game, now: Chief footballer writer Mark Robinson calls for urgent action to save the game’s big forwards.

EVERY team, every player: Robinson and analytical guru David King break down your team’s chances.

CRYSTAL ball — Who is tipping Essendon’s first flag since 2000?

Plus the best stats, fast facts and more, including Sam Edmund’s inside story on the art of the modern game.

WHERE TO GET IT

Footy18 is available from Saturday, March 3 onwards — while stocks last at participating newsagents in Victoria and Tasmania.

Cost is $4.95 plus purchase price of that day’s Herald Sun.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
