he has gone beyond Richo,Flea & Maurice for me
Why? Richo played in crap sides and single handedly won games for us time and time again. Flea is a legend. He was so good and played for his state proudly on do many occasions, usually in its bests. Best handballer ever at Richmond. Put Maurice in our current side and we'd be near invincible. That's how good he was.

Agree. Richo commonly had two opponents on him and still won the contest. He was one of the greatest contested marks in the game. Imagine if he had not been seriously injured in 1995. Richo holds the record for the most goals kicked at the MCG. Flea was another player who continued to play at a very high level during dark times. Maurice was a brilliant footballer. Trent hopefully will become an all time great. But the focus should be on whether Rance is now an all time great at Richmond. In the modern era he definitely fits the category as one of the club's greatest defenders.

And don't forget that Richo had some of the greatest dummy spits of all time when the ball didn't come to him.
Talk about the passion of winning games single handedly :thumbsup
The third quarter, the premiership quarter, it's Dusty time. He starts to shine and then delivers in the most AWESOME fashion.

Richo deserved to win the brownlow over Cooney.

Off the top of my head I could name quite a few others who deserved to win it that year ahead of Cooney.
