Especially when Dustin Martin has ball in hand. I trust him with the ball from 50m then half the team sometimes 15m in front

Taken too far today .

What a fiasco in the final quarter . Showed no match awareness.

I think this was a directive from the coaching staff for this game. Hawthorn have 2 players behind the ball, did it all last week vs Geelong.  We went over the top with 10 possessions inside F50.
Go Tigers!

How do people feel about that trick shot off the side of the boot goal Butler did? Personally I am not a fan of the cute stuff. Just pick the ball up and slot it through as a drop punt

Not enough for mine. When running into an open goal we should always be looking for a better option. Pockets are usually free in this situation. Room for improvement.

Looked like he was past the ball....

I don't think he had a lot of choice. Got a bad bounce and the ball was behind him. His forward momentum didn't give him a chance to grab it and kick a conventional goal.

Got a theory
As McIntosh did
If inside F50 you have a shot
Take ownership of the situation
Too many times we try and give off and turn the ball over ,as was evident yesterday
Stupidity at its best yesterday
Reckon Sam Lloyd should of taken that shot banana style when he ran around the back of goals to get his own ball

I felt he had little choice, but Butler did something later on which was about sharing the footy that cost us a goal because he didn't take ownership of the situation and kick it himself.

Really silly decision by Butler it was a very Castagna-like decision.Could’ve iced the game but gave the hawks a sniff. Butler should’ve just went back and slotted it through himself.

.... Interestingly Castagna played like Butler and Butler played like Castagna throughout the game.
The club that keeps giving.
