VLASTUIN: TIGERS ON RIGHT TRACK

RICHMOND premiership defender Nick Vlastuin says the Tigers still have "a lot of work to do" to get back to their blistering 2017 best form.

The Tigers kept Hawthorn at bay yesterday, controlling the game from siren to siren to come away with a 13-point victory at the MCG.

After being outhunted by Adelaide last week, Vlastuin said the focus going into Round 3 was contested ball and manic pressure in the forward half.

"I think we've still got a fair way to go," Vlastuin told RSN Breakfast.

"I think everything clicked at the right time (last year), this year we still got a lot of work to do, (but) we're taking the right steps."

As long as we’re top 4 again and no major injuries at finals time, we can definitely win it again.

The finals is when you need to playing your best footy.
The club that keeps giving.
