Great win under the circumstances. Wins like this galvanise teams. Menadue and Moore are still reserve grade players, but so is Conca who was at his terrible worst today. Considering the injuries and the umpires trying their best to get the Saints a win, our players came through like a champion team should. Well done to them it was a great win IMHO.

It was a gutsy win in the end being two down for practically 3 qtrs and fighting back to lift ourselves off the canvas. The Saints had their best game for the year and hardly missed their goals unlike all their previous games so far in 2018. We looked gone once the Saints got 12 points up in the 3rd. We're not playing well, we're carrying passengers, and we're miles from our best team pressure wise (terrible again today) but the positive is we're still 8-2. Big 3 weeks coming up before the bye.

Winning after getting thrashed in the stats will be giving opposing coaches nightmares.

Thanks to MT et al for the coverage.

Agree with all of this. Though you left out BEliis who didn't let me down in the dinky kicks and pulling out of the odd contest side of the game

This is actually the epitome of a "danger game"

We were as flat as tacks in WA, played poorly and the fingers started pointing; especially down back

At some point the Saints are going to have a "day" where it clicks

We need to be switched on and play to our strengths and play as a team... do that we win; we don't well keep everything crossed the Saints woeful skills get us over the line

You picked it exactly WP.  :thumbsup

We aren’t doing a lot right but luckily we are still winning. By the way we are playing I’m not confident in the games leading up to the bye.
The club that keeps giving.

They are a weird lot. I still remember back in the early 2000s at Docklands when a Saints fan turned around and told all us Tiger supporters to be quiet when Nick Riewoldt was lining up for goal. She wanted to watch the game in silence and not have us disturb her beloved Saint Nick :rollin.

Poor bitter Saints fans  :nopity. Just one flag in over a 100 years thanks to a flukey wobbly kick with the past 52 years and counting being crap with no sign of it ending :yep.

The vast majority of their supporters only memory of a trophy is holding up a preseason wok that no else gave a stuff about with dopey Grant Thomas banning his players from showing any signs of happiness  :wallywink.

They were a half decent side for a decade but just couldn't win a flag. Now their rebuild is reminding me of us under Wallace .No more Nick - what reason do they have to go to the football anymore.

Them and Melbourne were us and Carlton at the end of 2008 - that didn't work out well .

McCartin is a spud, the commentators go on about how great it is to see him play because of his issues, but he was a number 1 pick. St Kilda should have done their homework...

Good win in the circumstances. When challenged in the third quarter stood up. Caddy and Cotch were outstanding. Caddy really stood up in Jack's absence. Cotch's attack on the ball and his disposal was second to none. He really lifted when challenged by the Saints and was one of the few who had clean use of football. Vlas going forward was a good coaching move and Vlas played well. Butler in first half was good and Nank around the ground was very good. Broad was good. Rance was good as well. Win was made special by the fact that we had no Rioli, Grimes, Prestia, Jack, Houli and George and still won. Moore showed some glimpses. Jury still out on Menadue. Conca unfortunately was very poor.
