BREAKING - I have been informed Roughead will be departing the hawks. This comes after frank discussions at the exit meetings. Gold Coast favourites at this stage.

St Kilda reportedly no longer interested in Geelong's Daniel Menzel.

North Melbourne meet with out-of-contract Swan defender Nic Newman.

So there's talk of:

Miles going to GC
Lloyd possibly off to Dogs
Cory Ellis linked to Ess and GC
Conca linked to Freo

Plus Griffiths and Hampson both retired.

We could potentially have several list changes already.

Any other players beside Lynch we may be looking at?
You wouldn't think so unless they come cheap. A spare ruckman would be handy but not sure where we'll find one.

I think we'll target the draft this year to keep a stream of youth coming into the Club and our playing list. That would fit in with the rumour of the Club looking to prise the Suns' early second rounder for Miles & Ellis/Townsend. It would then give us 3 picks in the top 40.

I don't think the Hawks have even had their exit meetings yet as the VFL side is still playing..... :lol

This guys track record is very poor too.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Melbourne has met with Gold Coast captain Steven May as he continues to ponder his future, according to The Age.

The report also states Essendon have shown their interest in the key defender.

St Kilda ruckman Tom Hickey has being reportedly lined up by West Coast after undertaking medical tests.

According to AFL.com.au's Mitch Cleary, Hickey has been offered a multi-year deal by the Eagles as Scott Lycett’s departure looms.

An alternative is to find a diamond in the rough state league player who can make the jump up to the highest level. We've had success in that area in the recent past with Lambert & Broad.

Plough's top 10 state level players:

    Mitch Grigg (Norwood/SANFL)
    Shane McAdam (Sturt/SANFL)
    Josh Clayton (Southport/NEAFL)
    Michael Gibbons (Williamstown/VFL)
    Ryan Gilmore (Townsville/Gold Coast Academy)
    Josh Corbett (Werribee/VFL)
    Sam Sturt (Peninsula Grammar/Victoria)
    Jye Bolton (Claremont/WAFL)
    Jordan Morrissey (County Carlow/Ireland)
    Will Hayes (Footscary/VFL)

Jye Bolton is as tough as, but might be a little slow for AFL.

The Cats are increasingly likely to lose homesick star Tim Kelly only 12 months after drafting him.

He wants to return to Perth to be closer to his family with Fremantle and West Coast both keen to sign him.

Kelly’s preference is to join the Eagles, who will receive a first-round compensation selection for free agent Andrew Gaff if he joins North Melbourne.

Sam McClure has reported that Dylan Shiel has not requested a trade from GWS after his recent exit interview.

Geelong small forward Lincoln McCarthy has informed the Cats of his desire to be traded to Brisbane.

GWS defender Jeremy Finlayson will explore trade options this off-season, according to AFL.com.au.

Serious question and hopefully will get some serious responses

What are peoples thoughts on Alex Johnston ex Swan of the 6 knee recos. Latest knee reco was on his good knee

Rookie spot? I would take the risk myself can see some upside having this bloke at our club, leadership wise. Could teach some of our kids a few things about life and footy

Playing wise it's a pass. Leadership wise development coach for the VFL program.

Bit of a luxury I reckon. Understand the mentoring bit, but would look to offer him role at the club that doesn't involve being on our playing list if, we think he is worht givinga role to.

So what about VFL playing role + a development coaching role at the club?
