Have to say I'm confused by BEllis coming in for Grimes

Like for like would have thought Garthwaite was the way to go.

Seems strange

Show some respect re B. Ellis. He is a premiership player, works hard and has a lot of positive attributes.

Needs to start respecting himself, his teammates and the jumper first... :shh

Probably dont think st kildas forward line requires another tall with rance, astbury, broad and vlas able to cover them and wanted to bring in more run.

I’d rather see B. Ellis on a wing than down back, as long as he takes them on with some run and carry and uses his right foot weapon to effect and kick it long into F50 like a true wingman should.

Macintosh is a bit all over the shop with his kicking and doesn’t get the ball enough for an outside runner IMO.
The club that keeps giving.

It's the equivalent of bringing in Adam Fiora for Glenn Archer when you have Glen Jakovich waiting in the wings.... :shh

The one thing Macintosh does consistently is use his big body to affect. He is relentless with his attack at his opponent. I agree he needs to get a bit more ball but he is safe at the moment IMO. We base our whole game plan on pressure and I think we can agree he does that just about as good as anyone in our side.
Not every player needs to get 30 touches. Sometimes 15 and some grunt work is better for our side.

We lacked run last week. Bellis in team for his run.
Broad, Rance and Astbury can cover their forwards. Houli, Short and Bellis can provide run and carry. Macca can go back if required.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
