Reece Conca v Anthony Miles
« on: May 28, 2018, 12:01:55 PM »
Who would you rather see play in our team?

I think that Miles is better in every facet of the game compared to the chief turn over merchant since Taylor Hunt. .......

I can’t see the reason for choosing Conca ahead of Miles. Miles can do what Conca does but with less turnovers. Miles is better at contested footy, has cleaner hands and can extract the footy and is a clearance machine. Granted Miles isn’t blessed with a lot of speed but is he slower than Conca? I don’t think there’s much difference there.
Miles is a better kick, better tackler, better clearance player, better kick, better hand baller and a better kick for goal.

Miles would also help increase our free kick count as he is prone to getting his head knocked as he’s always first to the footy and unlike Conca which just waits for his opponent to get the ball so he can lay an uncoordinated tackle and give away another crucial free kick.
The club that keeps giving.

I think Miles is a better footballer to be honest but they're totally different players.
I work in Africa and they were taking the pee out of me for saving Africa.......

So just to clarify, who is the better kick?  :lol

Dimma was a dopey sniping back pocket plodder who most admires players similar to himself.... needs to start listening to the real coach Caracella again.... :shh

"Dimma" can be exchanged for Clarkson/Thompson/Sheedy/Malthouse and that statement more or less holds true.

I thought Prestia took Miles place in the team so Im perplexed to why Anthony doesn't play when Dion is injured.
How many times have we heard Hardwick say in his press conference  " I have a wonderful player ( Miles ) killing it in the VFL who can't get a game "

I like the energy Conca brings but boy oh boy does he butcher the ball . Surprised Concas still standing to be honest usually breaks down by now .

Exactly. That’s why Miles should be playing instead of Conca because he’s a different player and better

Uninformed comment.

Say what you want about Conca but the guy has a bit of toe and puts in effort defensively. Runs very hard defensively despite his limitations. Plays a completely different role to Miles.

They are not a like for like swap. It's like saying Garthwaite is a better footballer, is in good form & should replace Conca. While the first 2 parts could be true...the 3rd and final part is about the role they play. Completely different.

Garthwaite would probably be a better midfielder than Plonca... :shh

Not that hard......
Conca plays midfield at times and Miles plays midfield too. Not that different if you think about it.
Miles is better at it than Conca and doesn’t butcher the ball as much and is better at clearance work.

.......Pretty simple really.  :shh
