Some might say he’s had as much luck in coaching that Ian Botham did as a bowlers - that bloke more wickets bowling dibbly dobblers wide outside off stump :banghead
However, despite that, he’s legacy can’t be denied
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Conviced them he was coming over after his contract expired at the end of 96 - he never was and would always use the threat of returning to Punt Rd to bump up his contract with Essendon- this time dopey Brown & the coterie flogs believed him and pressured the board to only offer Northey one year in order to make way for the prodigal messiah the year after....Northey left and we ended up with Walls- who we ironically after all that IIRC we signed for three years anyway while Sheedy- as he'd planned all along- got the contract he wanted and successfully destabilised a permiership rival (which to be fair wasn't all that hard to do to us in those days))who'd knocked his side out of the finals.. ....and the rest is history... :shh

I just see him as a self serving Essendon flog now.

Thought it was hilarious how he ripped a supporters scarf off and walked away :lol

No hard feelings about the Sheeds from me. Was a great Richmond player & added a lot to our sport
