Dea, has been serviceable for Ess, would there be a spot for him at RFC atm if we had kept him?

No

Who would he replace in our backline? And don't say BEllis, because he s only there this week because Houli isn't  ;D

Was he a backman?

I always thought he was aiming to play as an inside mid. Which means when Miles can't get a run, he'd be a long way down the pecking order for us either way.

Had great hands and busted his backside, but not really AFL level.

Dea is a very very solid defender. Does have a nice handball and his kicking/decision making improved out of sight. We saw how good he was in the VFL when Dimma just refused to play him. Went to Essendon with the replacements and played good footy and was kept on. Happy for the guy.

Would he replace anyone here? Don't think so. Would be a fine depth player. If he was 5cm taller I'd have him competing for a spot with Broady

Think you'll find Menadue would have made way had Houli been fit  ;D

For me Townsend plays.
He will go through peaks and troughs in terms of kicking goals and touching the footy but give him a job on the oppositions most attaching defender and he is nearly the best in the league at that roll.
You know what he will give you every week in terms of effort and more importantly he is as hard as a cats head.
I would have thought he would have been perfect on a cold, slippery night at the G in a big game.

I agree.

Even when not in great form, he adds a dimension to our forward line that works.

If he needs to be dropped, we need to find a player to fill a similar role. But I don't see anyone who hits the contest like he does.

He should have had a guaranteed spot for the rest of the year after smashing Jones

Don't agree about Towner.Been out of form you cant just play him for his attack on the footy and pressure and tackling needs to kick goals to that's part of his job.

Whoever did the rubbing out of names on Dimma's team board after taking this photo didn't do a great job  :P. You can still tell who is playing where and on whom.

Looks like Vlastuin is starting forward (CHF).
I think it's McIntosh on Zaharakis on a wing.
Obviously Nank vs Bellchambers in the ruck.

Wrong way I reckon, OE. That'd be CHB.
