Staggered

For this game we desparetly need someone in the F50 who is big bodied, fierce at the contest, will give 2nd and 3rd efforts and more than anything can tackle up free up Jack and Caddy

So where's Townsend?

Granted we will know more tomorrow night but right now disapoointed with that side  :-\

Would've thought Townsend would be there as another hard body against the Cats [edit: beat me to it, WP].

The rest not unexpected. Dusty and Rioli are definites (touchwood no injuries before Sunday). Garthwaite and Soldo as back ups for Astbury and Nank. I would have Graham in for Higgins.

Agree. I would’ve like to see Townsend back. How Macintosh & Butler is still in the team is beyond me.

Conca and Brandon Ellis  :chuck

Prestia and Houli will force the last two out when they come back in the second half of the year.

Butler could still be dropped tomorrow when the team is finalised but I'd doubt it as I think Dimma wants to see how the "3 amigos" go together up forward for the first time this year.

He was well beaten against Port but I think it's rough that Miles got dropped off one game. Higgins, Butler and McIntosh were equally average. Conca and B. Ellis didn't set the world on fire either. I can understand Caddy and Lambert have sufficient runs on the board to have one 'off game' but I think it's harsh on Miles.

Anyway I guess it's back to scoring 40+ possessions in the VFL to try and get in the team before Sept.

People forget how poor Towner was playing before he was dropped.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Lambert has had more than one bad game now. He has not touched it for 3 weeks now. Should be in front of a few for a rest. Must be sore

I agree but I would still like to see him back in, see if he can find some form in the 1s. Having seen him play in the magoo's it appears as if they give him a slightly different role and are more inclined to let him run through the midfield, which helps him find his feet a bit when he goes quiet. Not the case with the seniors.

Butler won't be dropped. He is number one in the league for forward half pressure.
That's his job. He's doing it and won't be dropped. From Hardwick.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Might work for him at VFL level but unfortunately Townsend's not a midfielder's a-hole at AFL level.... :shh
