Wind and now rain. Need to K.I.S.S. We're still trying to handball our way into the breeze which is playing into Essendon's hands with a slippery ball.

Dumb dumb dumb  :banghead.

We had possession and we give them a free shot at goal off the ball.

Lucky they miss and it's a point.

Stoppage in their forward line. Two Tigers collide trying to pick up the ball and Essendon goals  :P.

Bombers dominating now plus some I'll discipline from us and they are back within 9 points.  Would want to be 8 goals up at 3 quarter time with this breeze

45-37 up 31 mins gone 2nd qtr

Our intensity dropped off in the last 10 minutes and they dominated the contested footy and clearances which meant we couldn't get our running game on the outside going. With the breeze they were constantly going inside their F50. Lucky they kicked a few points as the breeze is going strongly into the left forward pocket rather than straight down the middle.

You're right pmac. It's a 5-6 goal breeze and if you aim for the right side of the goals it will float back through the middle. Need to be 40+ points up at 3/4 time to make the most of the wind.

Liked Baker's game today so far. Could earn a debut if he keeps this up and Butler's ankle isn't okay.

I've got to pop out for a bit. If someone could take over and post score updates it will be much appreciated  :).

Tiggers 62/40 up
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Cheers HRT.

Goals to Grewar and just then Baker from distance with the breeze.

Out of the middle and Balta hits Ballard 40 out. Misses.

Rich  9.9-63
Ess   5.10-40

23 mins

Commentators saying we wasted the first 13 minutes with the breeze.

We didn't make the most of the breeze. Two more goals would've been very handy. We're going to now have to kick a couple against it in the last like we did early in the 2nd qtr to win.
