RICHMOND

Get them in: Nick Vlastuin is available after a one-week suspension. Liam Baker has put together three solid VFL games in a row while Shai Bolton has been in good form for over a month and Tyson Stengle had 18 touches, nine tackles and kicked a goal on Sunday. Connor Menadue continues to toil away when out of the AFL side and had 27 touches and six clearances in the win over Essendon's VFL team.

Under the pump: Again, a substantial win plus at least three forced changes means the rest of the team is likely to remain untouched unless anyone needs a rest.

Medical room: Jack Graham (shoulder), Nathan Broad (cheekbone) and Dan Butler (ankle) will all miss up to a month, which opens the door for Bachar Houli to return from a groin injury if he gets through training this week. Ryan Garthwaite hurt his ankle in the VFL on the weekend and is likely to be unavailable while Anthony Miles and Ivan Soldo will be tested after missing with concussion.

Verdict: Vlastuin and Menadue to return, with the third replacement to come from Baker, Stengle or Bolton.

With no sign of Baker being promoted from the rookie list then it looks like Bolton will get the gig out of the latter two.

Didn’t they get rid of that rule that rookies have to be promoted to play in the seniors?

As a rookie, Baker has had a good year and looks promising.

He does however have some other areas to work on and I highly doubt he would even be in discussion for a game this year.

Dimma discussed him at his presser today, says he will considered for this week

I’d be staggered if the club gave him a senior game

All comes down to the nitty gritty of the role he has to play. You would assume that the coaches know the exact scope of works for want of a better term so he may have attributes that suit that role better than say Bolton.
